Gif files for Avatar/Siggy
How do I download a gif file for my avatar or siggy? I can't get it to work. I'm using Photobucket.

Hey Fairy, do you have it uploaded to photobucket?
If you do, then use the direct link. That's what I've done as far as I recall.
Although when I put it in the body of a post I use the img code.

That's whay I've been trying to do. I use the Direct Link from the gif on Photobucket, but which line do I copy it into on the Avatar page? I've tried them all. I just get a still pic but no gif.

Have you captured the gif on photobucket? Is it in motion there?

Okay Fairy, use the IMG code and put it in the second line of the avatar uploader...

LOL I bow to the queen
Color me wrong again. I love that little shake of the head but there's no way that I have found to resize the gif to make it appropriate for an avatar.

Okay, this isn't the one I really wanted, but I think the one I was having trouble with was too big (a Gracious Plenty maybe?)... I mean the file was too big. Thanks Renee.

Thanks Aslinn. I will try that too. I really want the other gif, so I will keep trying to resize it. There must be a way to make it smaller and have it still work.

Gifs CAN be resized. Don't use the edit tab, use the resize tab and allow enough time for the gif to load again.
Since the gif I wanted was too big, I just made it a siggy. Now I have my Viking fix... well temporarily anyway! Thanks ladies.
