I watched this one with my mom and even she said, "where are the vampires in this movie."

I watched this movie, and it's a total teen flick. With that being said, why is my mother OBSESSED with this story. She watches this one and the first one at least twice a week. I always respond with real vampires don't Farkle!!!!!

Yeah...some of them TwiMoms like those no sex, diet coke, pussy vampires.......

What they need is a close encounter with Bill or Eric

You've got that right Fyre. Introduce your mother to True Blood so she can see how real vampires live. I'll bet she'll like Eric or Bill (hell, even Andy) better than Edward.

I've told her over and over again she needs to give Bill a try. But she only replies with, I don't know anyone who watches that. Funny because two of her daughters are addicted. I think she's afraid of all the sexies. This is more safe for her. It's just sooooo sad.

So I am going to slip her a book and reel her in that way!

I think I might be the only person on the planet that loves Robert Pattinson but doesn't like him in Twilight. Edward is an idiot. Bella is an idiot. Jacob is a creepy stalker. The sparkling, bad contacts and bad make-up just puts me over the edge.

I just find Bella and Edward to be the most dullest characters ever. He doesn't have much of a personality. And I don't think Bella is a good role model for young women. She has absolutely no ambition other than to be with Edward, that's it. Not once did I hear her express having her own path. No college plans, no career plans, only to be with Edward. I get that people do this, but he just didn't seem worth it to me!

Fyre, I have a suggestion. Rent a copy of Generation Kill and let her watch it. Be sure to rave appropriately about how well Alex plays Sgt. Colbert, then let her watch the last couple of episodes of S2. If she doesn't fall in love with Eric, at least, then she is simply not ready and you have done all you can do. (hehehe)
