So who is this fellow Franklin? Is he a bad vampire?

Without getting into spoiler info, Franklin is a bad vampire and he has us worried when it comes to poor Tara. I think Franklin in the show will end up being more like a combo of Franklin and Micky from the books.

I agree with the combo. Am I the only one who kinda thought he was hot? Maybe it was just the side view...

James Frain has been cast in role of Franklin Mott.

ok, so maybe not as hot as he looked in the minisode, but he is still a pretty handsome guy. :)

James Frain as Franklin Mott makes the character seem older than I had pictured him. He did a good job in Showtime's "The Tudors."

Funny I think he is a bit younger then I had pictured him.. but thats just based off of this picture.

I've purchased S1 of The Tudors, but haven't taken the time to start watching it.

I always pictured Franklin as a classy, debonair man with a handsome dash of gray in his hair. Maybe like 50 ish...

Thats closer to how I had him pictured while reading the books Tiff.

I'm really not feeling this guy as Franklin. I expected someone much older with heavier features. Alan Ball failed to consult me yet again!

I see him as Mickey but not Franklin. But that may have been the compromise since they are apparently mixing those two characters

I'm going to keep an open mind with Franklin... it will be interesting to see how AB brings him to life.

Looks wise he reminds me more of Mickey, but I think it will be a combo for sure. I can see it now... he will charm the pants off of Tara, get her mind away from Eggs and more then likely show her a great time. But then he turns into the "backwards thinking" vampire and begins to control her.

Apparently, I am going to have to interrogate Aslinn fully for the story on this bloke. He doesn't seem to be an honourable character at all.
