Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Great episode tonight! Will be re-watching a lot tonight! Thoughts to come.
Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
I have loads of them; thoughts that is. OMG Tara kicking ass and smashing heads. As much as I loved the insanity that was Franklin, I guess it was a matter of time before he became annoying. The pastel Jammie's were not working either.
Jessica is really coming into her own and I was rooting her on. Let's hope the clip featuring her with the bad guy next week ends well! Come on Bill man up!
Speaking of our poor drained vampire; could Debbie and Coot get any more Tango Whiskey? Lorena truly needs an ass kicking and omg Sookie! Expected what happened, but still so much better to see on TV. In the clip next week, I stand by my assumption that Bill standing under the glow means his near drain of our telepath fae assists him in some awesome mixed, immunity power.
Eric is playing this one very close to his chest. Sorry Suckie but Pam > Suckie. Eric isn't going to risk his child for you, although I know he still has one eye open on her to protect her. Ha! Seems like next weeks clip is going to get entrancing between him and the King. Anyone else catch that lapel caress from the Viking? I nearly spit out my salad! Eric will get his cake too!
Jesus...you flirty tramp. I think he knows exactly what he's doing, now that the good ladies here said not to trust him. I can see it! He's playing the shocked and awe impression, but at the end, he knows what LaFayette does. I still have some inclination that Jesus may be Pussy Lover or I pulled that from left field. I guess we'll see.
Jason...LOL...he's getting way too big for his little man pants. Crystal did piss me off, shunning our boy like that, though. Squared faced little lying tramp lol
Aslinn called Tommy being involved in dog fighting, but I was surprised to hear his momma had been in the ring as well. Man Joe Lee is a POS! You'd think with extra dough he'll invest in a clean pair of tighty whiteys.
Talbot screaming when Bill killed that guard had me in stitches! The King stating a husband's work is never done and buckling his belt was classic. Just overall, a simply awesome episode and I'm going crazy for next week!

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Here is the promo that aired after last nights episode.
Post mortem...
I think the Jason and Crystal storyline is still building up, and I think Crystal is trying to push Jason away for his own good even if it seems like she would like to adventure outside of Hot Shot. I know is been a bit slow, but I'm hoping this really builds up to something good by the end of the season.

Great episode. Is that Crystal's cousin she is engaged to or what??? I wondered what happened to Alcide after they took Sookie and Bill. Way to go Tara, does she know about the un-invite??

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Amazing Episode.....
Jason...I think he should heed Crystal's advice and get the hell away from her then I think Andy Bellefleur should lock him up for a bit and let him calm down.....
Hey Soos...Lafayette follow your best instincts and stay the hell away from that boy...he is satan in a muh fuh sunday hat.....
Sam...watch your back honey...
Jessica...Poor thing...I feel so sorry for you, you are so close to being human and yet you are the most dangerous teenager in Bon Temps
Tara...she was my hero last night. Besides beating the hell out of Franklin's head, she was smart enough to get some V, think to Sookie and get to her...that thing about Talbot and almonds was priceless.
Talbot...I think there is a real problem in that marriage and he wants to be special again, but dang boy, after 700 years...well, he said it best: There is nothing new like someone new and I think he has his sights set on our Viking...But who doesn't want him?
Eric...I think he sort of meant it when he told Sookie he didn't care about her. Don't get mad at me, just think... I don't think he cares about her in the same level as his desire to save Pam and his thirst for revenge. He doesn't really know Sookie yet, and he doesn't form attachments to humans yet...Would he save her? I think he will if he sees the opportunity to save her. But he has to play this real careful...he has to get Pam and he is driven to get his father's crown...He can't help it.
Lorena...will someone stake that biotch already? Please? She is a miserable excuse for a Vampire..she makes Franklin look medicated. And apparently, she was some sort of procurer herself for her maker...Some things never change with Vampires.
And Bill...I cried like a baby for you hon...I was a miserable soul...But I cheered like a muh fuh when you made the attempt to kill Russell...Go Bill Go!!!!
Okay Alcide...get going wolf boy, we are waiting for you to do your stuff

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Wow! I think they used a jacuzzi's worth of fake blood during last night's epi! Tara! Dayummm girl! That was awesome! Franklin's tiny ass in those satin jammies was making me laugh for some reason. He's like a bobble head...well...not so much any more. Ew! That was intense!
Lafayette and Jeeezus...hmm...where is that going? Satan in a Sunday hat indeed. If not, it would be quite boring methinks.
Eric...wow...harsh words for Sook. But I think it was clever because after the dust settles and (fingers/toes crossed) Pam is okay and Russell is dead, Eric is going to have to make it up to Sookie. Make-up sex is not overrated. Bring it on!
Sookie...um...she was not lookin' too good last night. Her cry face is not too pleasing and there was an overload of it last night. Not that it wasn't justified...it's just a little distracting for me. I just never picture Sookie so snot-bubbly hysterical.
Jason, boy are you stoopid or somethin'? His character is so all over the place. I can't get a grip on what motivates him. But, maybe that's what makes his character great. You love him and you're completely frustrated by him all at once! I'm frustrated. Next week...who knows?
Lorena and Bill were great! I can't wait to see what happens next week! Oh...and DAMN YOU Eric! Why did you have to get blood all over my favorite sweater?!!

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Having just watched it again, I think I figured out what my problem was. The episode was too quiet. Yes, I understand that's a little weird to say considering all the gruesome scenes, but I noticed each scene had only two characters, maybe three. It was a lot of quiet action. That isn't bad at all, I guess I just expected a little more interaction. With everything that was happening the Sam and Jason scenes seemed really out of place.
Eric was harsh on Sookie, but I don't think he was bluffing. Sookie cannot be compared to Pam or his father. That's all that Eric is thinking about now. I'm sorry, Sookie but you're not #1 to Eric. I also think the writers are doing this on purpose. These past seasons we get glimpses that Eric might feel something for Sookie. We like that because we want to see our vampires get some humanity back. I think all he feels is curiousity. He doesn't know what she is, but he wants it. Not a love kind of want, but just something he can have with no restrictions (Bill watch out). So after we see Eric being cruel to Sookie and refusing to help her, it will help make it even more delicious (for some) when he goes completely out of character next season. It's what happened in the books and it will work well on the show.
Tara is my girl. She was determined to get out of that house and away from Franklin. Last week Bill kicked major ass, last night Tara took home the prize. Franklin's head was pretty smashed in, but I don't think he's just done yet.
I'm still positive about Jesus. There might be something hiding there, but we have all been waiting for some dark secrets to come out of him when the one with the darkness is Lafayette. We'll see, though.
Bill and Lorena. I hated watching him suffer like that, but I actually enjoyed seeing their interaction. Especially what they chose to talk about in what they think are Bill's final hours. Lorena suffered hard. I kind of understood for the first time why she wanted Bill. The poor girl knew only one way to be. She's far beyond getting help. Bill let her realize that she can't change. Yes, I felt sorry for her last night. I still want her staked, though.
If you guys have OnDemand they played a different preview for next week's episode. Last night they seemed to play a "rest of the season" clip, on OnDemand they just had one for next week. It's very interesting. I'm not sure if they have it on HBO.com.

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
I watched that also Violet! It is going to be a huge episode next week. I think everyone feels about like I do. I agree with all the Sookie crying though, I mean, she is so strong willed and yet cried as if it would make any difference. They are, afterall, vampires who do not long to be human. It broke my heart to see Bill like that and I do agree, the dialog between him and Lorena was tragic. As much as I hate Lorena as her character, she is really brought to life and is a great actress. The shed was about as perfect as I had imagined it in my mind. My biggest and only complaint is HBO's/AB's time line they have chosen, it makes it hard to picture all of these people fallen in love and "caring" for one another. How could Sookie possibly think that Eric feels for her? I mean, they haven't interacted that much and he has known her a mere ~9wks, Pam and his revenge on Russell trump that by centuries.

Lorena....I hope we get a flashback, to see what she was like.
The Queen... she was hilarious
Jessica...I'm happy she didn't kill that annoying lady
Jesus... I get a weird vibe from him...that guy seems evil
Tara...I wasn't a big fan of her character, but she has won me over.
Franklin...was an awesome character...RIP

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
I have to agree with Violet on the Jason and Sam scenes feeling out of place.
I LOVED the scene between Bill and Lorena. It told us more about her, but also showed how dark she really is.
Tara- Finally found some guts! Though I don't think that is the end of Franklin. For some strange reason, I started thinking about zombies when they showed her biting him.
Thank you for Alcide's butt! Finally get to see his wolf.
Eric is on a mission. Yes, he was harsh to Sookie, but I don't think he sees anything but getting his revenge for his father and saving Pam. Though him flirting in the house, pissing off Talbot is cracking me up.
Lafayette and Jesus- I don't know which way this is going. The kissing scene made me giggle though.
Sookie, Sookie, Sookie. When will she learn to look behind her?
Jessica needs to be more careful, no drinking at work, especailly with Arlene around.

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
Episode 3.06
Sam and the Mickens: Melinda is definitely the alpha bitch. Maybe we should be surprised she was once a ring fighter herself, but nothing she does would surprise me much. Whiskey tango would be a step up for her and that crusty-butt husband of hers. I don’t know how much Sam will be able to help Tommy without putting himself in grave danger.
Jason and Crystal: People who have read the books suspect what Crystal and the Hot Shot “brother cousins” are, but AB gave unenlightened viewers a huge clue when Jason made a comment (“I love how warm you are”) to her about her body being hot (flashback to encounter with Alcide and Sookie). Poor Jason doesn’t recognize trouble when it bites him on the ass. Jason should be treated for PTSD.
Arlene and Jessica: Their exchange at Merlotte’s was wonderfully entertaining. Jessica, with Pam’s help, is learning to be a mainstreaming vampire. Hopefully the snack Jessica had at work doesn’t come back to haunt her through Arlene.
Lafayette and Hey-Soos: Go with your gut Lafayette! What intrigued me about the exchange between Lafayette and Hey Soos was the focus AB put on the shrine in Lafayette’s house. Hey-Soos seems to know more about it than Laf. I smell a rat. Could Hey Soos be a new supe of some kind? Is he connected with a dark art related to one of the figurines in the shrine? Just saying…
Tara and Franklin: Way to go Tara! The only problem is she doesn’t know how to kill a vampire. I don’t believe Franklin is dead, though I’m sure he has a headache. Worsening his brain damage is not sufficient to kill him. She should have cut off his head. We will see him again. Watch your back Tara! I loved seeing Tara and Sookie kick some were butt!
Sookie: Poor girl is in trouble again. I was worried for a while that she wouldn’t be able to control her mouth enough to keep herself, Bill, and Eric from getting killed right there in the foyer. (I think Eric was worried about that as well.) Naturally she is focusing on herself and Bill, unaware of the spectrum of chaos going on around her. You have to hand it to the girl, she is brave, but she frequently crosses the fine line between bravery and foolishness. She showed a surprisingly lack of reaction when Russell unveiled Bill’s file. Maybe she just put in on the back burner to deal with later.
Bill and Lorena: Just heart wrenching. Watching Bill’s torture was extremely difficult, but I too felt some sympathy for Lorena… well a little. I think it actually hurt her to watch Coot and Debbie feed on his blood, and frankly I was surprised she let them. Oh Bill, sniff sniff. I can’t wait to see what happens with Bill next week. The fae blood theory is intriguing.
Eric: Unlike Sookie, Eric does not wear his feelings on his shoulders. He is definitely multitasking. Eric does have feelings for Sookie, but exposing those feelings right now would be to his and Sookie’s detriment. Frankly, I’m surprised she doesn’t understand that. Eric reveals a lot through his eyes, facial expressions, and body language. He positions himself protectively near Sookie when Lorena approaches; when Bill tells him to take her away, he stops her from following Bill up the stairs; and he reminds Russell that she is valuable so that Russell hopefully will not kill her or allow Lorena to kill her. Eric is having trouble dealing with his feelings for sure, as evidenced by his reaction to his fantasy (and it’s not a result of having her blood because he has never had her blood.) It is only natural for him to wonder what she is. They are all very interested in learning that. However, his interest in her is not simply curiosity, and I disagree that he has "turned on Sookie." He's just keeping his head and working his plan. Finally, he is really working Talbot and Russell! I'm surprised Russell shared his plan with Eric so freely, but Eric could talk me into just about anything too.
I can’t wait to see the next episode!!

Re: Episode 3.06 – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues
I'm not sure, but did Bill give a little laugh when Sookie found him in the slave quarters? He did seem to be coherent but I'm afraid he's going to do something that he will deeply regret.
Fairy, I hadn't thought about Eric's undertones about saving Sookie. You could be very right about him saying that Sookie is valuable, but I don't think Russell would kill her or have allowed Lorena to do it. He already knows she's valuable because he saw what she could do. Then again, Eric wasn't there to see that...hmm...
