Episode 3.05 – Trouble

Eric visits Russell, who catches him in a lie and forces him to admit that the Magister is holding Pam prisoner and will kill her unless he turns in Bill Compton for selling V. Franklin gives Russell information on Sookie's genealogy that he stole from Bill's home. Franklin continues to keep Tara prisoner at Russell's mansion, telling her that he intends to make her his vampire bride. Alcide and Sookie visit packmaster Colonel Flood, who advises them to keep away from Russell and his werewolves. Bill goes to Alcide's apartment to tell Sookie to leave but the King arrives and thwarts his plan. Russell orders Coot to grab Sookie, who protects herself with her mysterious powers. A Viking crown in Russell's possession makes Eric realize that Russell was responsible for killing his family many centuries ago. Lafayette and Jesús begin to get to know each other. Tommy begins working at Merlotte's. Jason starts work as a cop and falls for the enigmatic Crystal Norris. Terry moves in with Arlene.

This episode was great, it went by so fast that it was over before I knew it.

I am really disappointed in the alphas so far.
Col. Flood what a p**sy. That pack definitely needs a new leader.

Jesus and Laf, wow, the sparks were flying. Jesus has the most amazing eyes.

I felt so badly for Eric and his family, but that scene seemed a little rushed to me. I guess we know who the hooded figure was. I hope Eric gets his vengeance.
I have no doubt his wheels are turning and he will come up with a brilliant plan to save them all.
Bill sneaking out on crazy vamps like Lorena and Russell to warn Sookie took some major cojones.

Franklin is psycho but he sure is entertaining to watch. James Frain is doing an amazing job.

I really like Tommy, he seems like a lost little puppy. I hope Sam can get him away from those crazy Mickens.

I had lol moments with Jason tonight!! Limbo'ing under the paperclips was priceless. And he and Crystal are so sweet. Almost like a bad porno the way he came out of that cop car with no shirt and the Aviators!!

I almost cried for Terry when he was talking to Sam. He is finally living his dream... I just hope it doesn't blow up in his face.

Eric definitely has a personal vendetta against Russel now. I am very excited to see how that plays out. Eric is also a shameless flirt!! Playing Talbot like that was just too much.

And I am too dissapointed that Col. Flood isn't the same stand-up tough guy from the books. Oh well.

Finally Bill makes his move!! I wonder if Eric is going to have to save them all?

Lastly, it was nice to see Lafayette being romanced. Jesus seems to be the polar opposite of him, but is enamoured of our sparkly cook.

More thoughts later, after a good sleep and another viewing.

What I didn't like:

I'm disappointed that we haven't seen Alcide as a wolf yet. That whole bar scene would have been great to see. Ah well, I'm sure it's coming.

We didn't see enough Sookie. She seemed like a minor character in this episode. Kinda weird...

Jason and Crystal scenes were too long. After hanging out for two seconds they seem to be in love. I don't buy it. I did love the cop car scene. I laughed so hard when he came out shirtless and with sunglasses on. Gotta love that boy, even if he's dumber than a box of hair.

What I loved:

Franklin Mott. Yes, he's crazy as hell, but he's so damn hilarious. The texting scene! So funny. He's so pathetic but oh man you can't help but laugh. I love how Tara was getting her way around him.

I like that Tommy seems to be getting his sh** together. I sensed a little flirting between him and Jessica. I felt so sorry for him when his dad went crazy on him. Poor Sam is in the middle, but I know he will be there for his brother.

Jesus and Lafayette. I'm positive these two will become my new favorite couple. So cute. Looks like Lafayette and Jesus agreed to speak to each other (joke from last season).

I had no idea that Eric's connection with this wolf gang went back all the way to his family. It did break my heart to see them murdered like that. Awful. Of course Eric wants revenge. He should have it. Russell Edington, pumpkin, look out.

Bill, oh Bill. Where to start? Well, I guess when he called Lorena a cow was great. I just love seeing the doors shut in her face. You can tell he was concerned when he saw Tara in the house. I had hoped he would do something for her, but I guess by staying away he thinks he's keeping her (and Sookie) safe. When he found out Sookie was in the area? My goodness, he went full force on that. He kicked vampire and were ass. That last scene...I wasn't expecting him there in the apartment! When I saw him I thought, "it must be a dream!' But it wasn't. He was there with Sookie warning her to save her life. It was so beautiful and sad. It gave me hope for those two, but it isn't over yet. Sookie did her cool little trick and Russell said (in a very cool way) "Fantastic!" Uh oh, looks like more trouble is coming their way. But I hope that Sookie doesn't hate Bill. So far I'm liking this storyline better than how it is in the book.

God Damn you Bill Compton, I love you!

I couldn't agree more Linzy, James Frain is doing such a great job playing Franklin. This was one of my fave scenes from the episode.

I am LOVING Franklin! He is so witty and bipolar! It is great.

I am a little WTF with Alcide....he is a huge gorgeous dude but he is always just kicked in the nuts or beat up...I am like...DUDE...kick some ass already! Maybe he is a lover and not a fighter...good news for me.

So much happened this episode...this season is so much more intense where as last season was just crazy.

I started a James/Franklin thread in cast and crew. He deserved it!

In the chatbox we were wondering how Russell and that vampire bodyguard were able to get into Alcide's apartment without being invited in.

Well, looks like it was Coot who invited them in. "Come on in." So, I guess he spent more time in that apartment than Alcide knows. That Debbie, what a hoe.

When Debbie was arguing with Alcide and then Sookie started reading her thoughts and started naming off all the dudes she had in that house and I was like "Ho...turn around at that hot piece of @$$...why you want someone else? LOL!

I think that by far this season is the best and we aren't even half way....can't wait till nexy episode!

Great point Violet, you think he would have figured it out. Its hard to believe he would be that blinded by love for her of all people. But he is obviously still hung up over her, who knows maybe prior to her V use and sleeping around she did treat him better. Now he needs to just grow a pair and move the 'eff on.

I kinda agree with the Crystal and Jason scenes taking up too much time, and thats my only real complaint about tonights episode. I'm still really looking foward to them in future episodes and the whole Hot Shot / Jason plot. Jason at the police station alone,was awesome, such a goofball! Ryan has been really great this season, even if we don't like everything about Jason currently.

Maybe one of the reasons Alcide isn't firing on all cylinders is that he is under Debbie's spell. At least that was his excuse in the books. Maybe AB is following Charlaine's lead on this one. I sure hope that's it.

I LOVED this episode. Franklin was a hoot! The texting, his ridiculous possessiveness, yelling at the bodyguard that Tara doesn't want him. Eric, my poor wounded solider, to experience such a painful flashback! Of course I too was pissed, seeing how his mother and baby brother were killed by that pack of dogs. Eric has maintained himself for 1000 years and is much smarter than the average bear, I sense an amazing plan.

Sookie's fae coming out was awesome, it was pretty damn powerful and only adds to the allure of her already being a telepath. I love to hate Russell too, not sure if anyone else feels the same. I have a feeling that Eric will be using Talbot soon enough..I guess I'm thinking he and QSA are plotting some serious shit.

Jason and Crystal- aww factor. I love how he's bowled over by her. The cop stunt had me lmao! Jesus is really digging LaFayette and it was cute to see LaFayette come across a bit shy. I agree, Jesus has amazing eyes and seems like the kind of person that LaFayette needs in his crazy life.

Terry LOL Talking about being lucky after the bitch from hell starts yelling at him. Whiskey Tango indeed! Joe Lee needs his ass kicked and I'm waiting for Sam to do it. Tommy is like the bad kid who never had love, but could be such a good kid. My heart breaks for him and I think, even for a moment, Jessica would be good for him. Hoyt bringing in the nun from church was a low blow.

As I said, LOVED this epi.

This epsiode was brilliant, Jason had me in tears of laughter with his boredom scene. falling of his chair was bloody great lol i hope for a gif of that soon. The limboing was priceless and i love watching it over and over.

Franklin is my new fave character, the scene when he is all upset was actually heartbreaking. I kinda fell sorry for him lol forgetting that he is keeping Tara captive.

I am looking forward to next weeks episode now, Sookie being taken is going to be sooo good Cant wait.

Jason was absolutly hysterical in this episode, the whole bit with him alone in the Police station, starting with the chair, had me positivly rolling! And I'll just say, if every cop got out of the car looked like that..I'd get myself pulled over ALL the time! I curious to see the whole Crystal/Hotshot plot unfold.

I thought Tommy and Jessica at Merlottes was super cute, and I think I'd be totally cool with them dating. Heres what I think about Tommy and the whole Micken's thing...

Eric....oh Eric... for starters, he should always wear that aqua color. I'm really at a loss with how all this magister/QSA/V nonsense is going to work out but I hope that Bill and Eric somehow work together and come out on top. Eric's flashback was heartbreaking and amazing. So not only is he a 1000 year old Viking, he was a Viking king. p.s LOVED the post mortem! I think Eric is going to be using Talbot to his advantage very soon. One thing that I'm confused about... obviously it was Russell in Eric's flashback, so he is older than Eric but I wonder how old he is. In season 2 when Eric was talking to Bill about Godric he said that there were non above him in the new world.

I love Franklin. I just cant help it, he's so out of him mind its halirious. Poor Tara, but it looks as though she's begining to figure out how to work around him.

Next week looks insane and I cant wait!
