Re: Episode 3.05 – Trouble
So let me say something about this episode.
Sam: Sam is desperate to let his family see what is like to be responsible but he has to know in his heart of hearts that they are never going to be anything but trouble. He has done the fatal mistake, he has invited them in. Tommy is obviously in trouble and I think he is the one Sam can save possibly.
Tommy: He is definitely in trouble and I agree with you Sweet and Wild, Tommy is using his gift to feed the family....But watch out for momma, I think she is the big toe in this family.
Lafayette and Hey Soos: I don't know about all that. I think Lafayette better keep his eye on this cat. He is a little "aw shucks" for me. The shy thing he has going is a ruse I think.
Tara and Franklin: he is like those guys who seem okay at the start and then you discover they are psychos. The thing with the telephone, and then the revelation from Russell that he drags a girl in and then when he warns Tara about disappointing him "When ever a girl says that, everything turns black and I wake up with body parts?"
The Pack Master: Let me say I am a little disappointed in him. I hoped he would be a stronger character than he is.
Lorena: Now that Bill has tipped his hand and gone to save Sookie (or at least try to) she is in the cat bird seat again for the time being. She will have power over Bill and so will Russell.
Eric and Talbot: Eric knows no shame, he will flirt with anyone. Which is cool if his goal is to save Pam. I think Eric would do just about anything to save Pam, he loves her that much. And you can see that Talbot appreciates the affection that Eric has for his child. Makes me wonder if the royal consort feels that confident in his love with Russell. I heard him say there is nothing new except someone new....Maybe Talbot is in the market and he likes the merchandise? (Who could blame him, Eric being what he is, so cute)
Jessica and Tommy and Hoyt and Arlene: I think Tommy better think this thing thing through really careful. Jessica is not a worldly girl, but she is a new Vampire with all those Vampire impulses.....And Hoyt...I think it was mean of him to bring that girl to Merlotte's, really. He may like this girl, but he is also doing it to hurt Jessica...And Arlene? She is not going to be the redhead with all the tips I am afraid.
Jason and Crystal: Why are they so serious all of a sudden? Jason is talking about forever based on a couple of sightings and a quick chat on the side of the road...puleezze...Jason, get yer noggin out of your bung and look around for a moment....
Alcide: I am amazed a little that he would invite Bill into the house. I know he said he believes him, but I don't think Alcide would have let him in the apartment. He would have been too afraid.
Eric: It was great to really get into what Eric's deal was with the weres. Seeing Eric as a human and being a spoiled brat of a boy who wanted to spend much of his time between a woman's legs (Which isn't that where most guys want to spend their time. Oh and Eric, I know plenty of ladies who would love to let you do that very thing) and then be confronted with the reality of their deaths and the stealing of his father's crown by Russell. Yikes....Eric, hold it together buddy so you can save Pam then kill Russell.
Bill: Wasn't he absolutely Bad Ass? He kicked some serious ass and took names. I was cheering from the start...But let me back up a bit. Poor Bill sees Tara in her predicament. He knows two things for sure: Tara is in a world of hurt and Sookie is definitely near by. But he has to play this out (Well, not anymore) but at the time, he had to be the king's toady and he had to refuse to help her. I think Bill will still help her. And Talbot is going to screech to the high heavens when he sees Elizabeth Bathory's bed. If he though some Lorena slime on the celtic tapestry was a crime, the bed will be a travesty. Then Bill fighting his way out of the house was great. Bill kicked the shit out of Coot and another Vampire and went out in search of Sookie...See, he still loves her.
Bill and Eric: I think a lot of unspoken things were said between Eric and Bill. They are playing the roles of adversary (which they are) to keep the king going. And Eric knows that Bill would relinquish his claim on Sookie only to perhaps save her. The lopsided grin and the knowing look with a raised eyebrow from the Viking was great. I think these two will work together to get Sookie out of her situation and drag Tara along for the ride. How they accomplish this is going to be the fun part.

Re: Episode 3.05 – Trouble
I think it was the best episode. I loved it because it made me laugh out loud, a lot. I loved it because it gave me a sense of relief. Especially when Bill kicked ass and went to warn Sookie. Me being on cloud 9 over this episode won't last long. Next week's episode has me worried, but it will all be revealed that Russell Edington and Lorena were the cause of this whole mess. I hope they go down. Hard. I hope Sookie realizes Bill was cruel to protect her. I hope Tara is able to get out of Franklin's control. I hope Lorena gets staked real soon!
Oh, and I guess I want to defend Alcide for not stepping up in kicking were ass. We have to remember that these werewolves have had vampire blood. They're stronger than he is, so he's really no match to them. I wonder if he too will be taken to the King's house? I don't remember seeing him in the preview.

Re: Episode 3.05 – Trouble
Thank you HBO for making my Sunday worth the crap of a weekend I had!!!! It was a great episode, probably the best so far. I agree with everyone on what has been said. That flashback scene with Eric and his family was by far one of the most disturbing and so very sad. I am glad they finally got to the reason behind Eric and Godric's search for the leader of this pack, I figured it was Russell. I have one minor little thing that I have been thinking on....In the books, doesn't Sookie take a stake, then is taken back to RE mansion, therefore she is considered a friend to them? Now I know this can go in many, many directions, but if I remember correctly, this small detail helped her in many ways later on. I love the direction it is going, but it completely has my head spinning on how each storyline is gonna play out and I have to admit, I am glad. I don't want to know every little thing just because I read the series. I think AB has trashed it up a bit and that is a little annoying, I feel like Alcide is a bit overboard with the language and such, I just had in my mind how he should be and it is taking some time to get used to it. I LOVED the FM scenes!!! I was laughing the entire episode, and that is another reason to love True Blood, it's all there, blood, drama, sex, violence and comedy. What wasn't there to love in this episode, or this season for that matter. I just hate that it will be over so soon!!!

Re: Episode 3.05 – Trouble
I agree with most of what has been said about the episode. Aslinn, you and I are on the same page.
Sam and the Mickens: Sam has opened a Pandora’s Box I’m afraid. Melinda is in charge of the family, and both she and Joe Lee have abused poor Tommy. However, I’m afraid Sam’s help has come as little too late to make a permanent impact on Tommy’s life.
Jessica and Hoyt: The future doesn’t look good for their relationship, and the possible connection between Jessica and Tommy may be a disaster just waiting to happen. Hoyt’s bringing his date to Merlotte’s to rub Jessica’s nose in it was just payback. He couldn’t keep his eyes off Jessica. Poor Jessica seems to be surviving without Bill, at least for the time being. Though the previews indicate she will still struggle with her instincts. I hope Sam is giving her plenty of TruBlood.
Terry and Arlene: Poor Terry. He deserves to be loved, but that redhead is going to hurt him I'm afraid.
The Weres: Col. Flood was a huge disappointment as an alpha leader, even to Alcide. Though we have been a little discouraged by Alcide’s lack of aggression, I keep reminding myself that Charlaine had him under Debbie’s spell. I believe we may see a more aggressive Alcide in the near future, hopefully. Coot got his butt kicked twice in this episode, first by Bill and then by Sookie, and it won’t be the last time.
Jason: What can I say? Jason is his own worst enemy. He plunges head first into situations without first considering the consequences. Though he was hilarious in some scenes, this love-at-first-sight, “forever” romance with Crystal seemed contrived somehow. If Alan Ball follows the books, we already know Crystal is trouble. Did you notice the weird music being played in the scene where Jason and Crystal kiss by the lake? Red flags Jason!
Lafayette and Tara: Wow, Tara is in a world of trouble with Franklin. Admittedly he is very funny, but he is a textbook bipolar psycho – a “huge freak,” as Russell put it. I also fear for our Lafayette. I agree with Aslinn; there is something that just doesn’t feel right about Jesus.
Russell and Talbot: Now that we know he is the hooded figure, we have now to learn more about his connection to the weres. Russell is smart, but we know he is not as civilized as he claims. I suspect we will see his relationship with Talbot and Lorena tested at some point. He’d better be at the top of his game with Eric and Bill. They can be formidable opponents, especially if they join forces, which I suspect they have already. Talbot is obviously attracted to Eric, which no doubt Eric will use to his advantage. (And yes, Talbot will have a hissy when he sees the bed!
Lorena: Lorena can bend over and kiss her ass goodbye. She may have the upper hand over Bill right now, but her influence has weakened. She may still torture him, but her end is in sight, and her influence with the king is limited. Russell is playing her.
Bill: Poor, beautiful Bill just can’t catch a break right now. However, Eric’s arrival at the mansion changes everything. Bill is still in trouble, but we know he will survive, even if it is without Sookie. I love how Bill disrespected Lorena.
Eric: Oh my, my, my. So gorgeous, and a shameless flirt! I love the way he looked up at Lorena as said, "You." Enough said about Eric’s beauty. I agree that Eric gave Bill a silent signal in Russell’s dining room and that from this point forward they will work together to free Bill, Sookie, and Tara and do whatever harm possible to Russell and Lorena. But Eric will not lose focus on freeing Pam from the Magister. The flashback was great but very sad, and I don’t think we have seen the last of the flashbacks to the life of Eric, the Viking King. Eric will eventually have his vengeance.
Sookie: Well, Sookie has just outed herself, right there in front of everybody. However, flashing her fae power may have just saved her life. The witnesses may not know what she is, but they know she is valuable, and knowing that, surely Russell will not allow Lorena to kill her. Unfortunately, he will want to use her power to his own advantage. (Maybe Russell and Eric do now know what she is, especially if they were around during the fae wars. It would be nice if AB would give us that information, but Eric, if you know Niall’s phone number, now would be the time to call him.)
Can’t wait to see what happens next week!

I don't know Sal. It doesn't look like Hoyt's date; the woman appears to be older than the girl. Wonder who she is?

Re: Episode 3.05 – Trouble
Oh what an episode, though it felt short to me.
Lafayette and Jesus- Lafayette being this shy guy is cute. I hope Jesus is not bad news. Lafayette needs something positive in his life.
Franklin- Oh my God! I love Franklin and his crazy self. Tara is a magnet for crazy. Just don't tell him you need to talk.
Eric- SweetAndWild, I agree with that color on him, he looked so good. It's so nice to see this side of him pertaining to Pam. Him flirting with Talbot is funny.
Russell- I don't like him at all. I hope Eric gets even.
Lorena- Bring on the stake. Tiresome cow!
Alcide- I really hope he grows a pair. I am not too excited with what I see so far. Shouldn't he have been able to smell the others in his place?
Arlene and Terry- I loved Terry in this episode. I liked Arlene in the past seasons, but she is getting mean. I am guessing she going down the road from the books.
I feel bad for Jessica. She looked great though.
I can't wait for next week.

Sal,
- Spoiler:
- Spoilers say Jessica gets angry with a customer at Merlotte's. Maybe this woman is the customer, but in the preview it didn't look like Sam's mother I thought.
