Re: What are you reading?
I am currently reading book 5 of "Brotherhood of Blood" series by Kathryn Smith. (Canadian author!!)
They are :
1. Be Mine Tonight (Chapel & Pru)
2. Night of the Huntress ( Bishop & Marika)
3. Taken By Night (Saint & Ivy)
4. Let the Night Begin ( Reign & Olivia)
5. Night After Night (Temple & Vivian)
Bought them on a whim for my Kindle, and I was kinda impressed. As long as you remember that Kathryn Smith is first and foremost a Historical Romance novelist, it is quite enjoyable.
All books are set in and around 1899. The premise is that the 5 knights for King Phillip sent on a quest to find the holy grail. Instead of the Holy Grail, they find the Blood Grail, a silver chalice cursed with the spirit of Lillith, the original and damned wife of Adam. Not knowing this, they drink from the chalice and become vampires. They are also entrusted with the safe-keeping of the chalice. Fast forward 1000 years, and the vampires are being persued by a secret society called "Order of the Silver Palm". Even though easch story features a seperate vampire, it is one large story trying ot bring down the evil society.

Re: What are you reading?
I'm re-reading A Clash of Kings (book 2 in the A Song of Ice and Fire series) by
George R.R. Martin.
I've read all the books in the series so far. HBO just finished a pilot based from this series. If all goes well we could be seeing it this fall, I for one have my fingers crossed!

Re: What are you reading?
I'm reading Peony in Love by Lisa See. I read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by the same author and I LOVED it. She writes about forbidden/forgotten histories...the stuff that cultures do not want to admit were a part of their traditions etc. Foot binding, arranged marriages etc. They're great books! I'll be reading her new book Shanghai Girls next.

Let me know what you think of that. I loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Did you know it is becoming a movie now? I also want to read Shanghai Girls, but I have not bought it yet.
